Newsletter WARNIMBLE

Warnimble, a variant of the name ‘Warrnambool’, is stated
by Richard Osburne in his 1887 History of Warrnambool to
be the original pronunciation of the name. Most historians
agree today that the name ‘Warrnambool’ comes from the
nearby Mount Warrnambool (Mount Garvoc).
